Since the outbreak of this round of COVID-19, our teachers and students have actively participated in epidemic prevention and control at the front line, serving as anti-epidemic volunteers, including Wei Jinwen, an Australian teacher in accounting major of our university. In the face of the epidemic, instead of staying at home, she volunteered to work with medical staff and community workers to protect our homes.

Working from day to night, including order maintenance, delivery of testing cotton swabs, information registration, test tube labeling, delivery of test tube samples, lecturing and providing teachers and students in online classes with green channels, Ms. Wei earnestly worked personally with volunteers in the communities to complete nucleic acid testing over and over again, just to protect the safety of our homes.

On this Teacher’s Day, also the Mid Autumn Festival, Ms. Wei still held fast to her position and joined the nucleic acid testing work with community staff at 8:00 a.m., delivering testing cotton swabs, labeling test tubes, and spraying ethanol for disinfection at the test site. She said that this was the most special and meaningful Teacher's Day she had ever celebrated.

At the front line of epidemic prevention and control, Ms. Wei explained with her own practical actions that “love is borderless, it is a fight against epidemic with joint efforts”, thus a solid line of defense was built for epidemic prevention and control.
