In recent days, the Office of the Ministry of Education published its 2021 List of National-Level and Provincial-Level First-Class Undergraduate Program Construction Sites, on which, Sichuan Tourism University’s Cuisine and Nutrition Education program was named a national-level first-class undergraduate program construction site, and its Hospitality Management program was named a provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction site.
Ever since Sichuan Tourism University was given permission to confer bachelor’s degree, the school has maximized its traditional advantages and leadership capacity in the field of culinary arts and foods, promoted its “Everest of Culinary Science” action plan, innovated the “academic-training-competition-creativity-application” five-in-one application-centric human resource training mode, and elevated the overall quality in the establishment of undergrad programs. In addition to one national-level first-class undergraduate program construction site and one provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction site approved this time, the university previously attained two provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites in its Leisure Sports and Food Science and Engineering programs, and together these distinguished programs support the lift in the school’s efforts in building its disciplines, and contribute to the development of application-minded talents for the F&B and tourism industries.
