Upon the invitation of the International Butler Academy, Associate Professors Zhou Lingjie and Qiao Xing from the School of Culinary Science engaged in extensive exchanges at the Academy from January 28th to February 3rd, 2024.
On January 31st, a plaque unveiling ceremony for the Overseas Practice Base of Sichuan Tourism University as part of the “Benefiting the Overseas Chinese Project — Chinese Food Prosperity Plan Base” was held in collaboration with Mr. Robert Wennekes, the President of the International Butler Academy and Mr. Chen Yulong, the Training Director of the International Butler Academy. The partnership focuses on “Sichuan cuisine culture and artistic inheritance, and the integration of Chinese and Western catering services”.
Sichuan Tourism University and the International Butler Academy will jointly develop courses in Chinese cuisine cooking and banquet services, aiming to cultivate international talents in Chinese cuisine. The collaboration seeks to build high-end overseas Sichuan cuisine enterprises, promote global awareness of Sichuan cuisine, enhance the skills of overseas Chinese catering practitioners, and foster cultural exchange between the East and the West.
